Assoc. Prof. Marin Atanassov is an ophthalmologist in Plovdiv with over 30 years of experience. He performs modern eye diagnostics — computerised perimetry, optical coherence tomography and corneal topography — and a broad range of ophthalmic surgery, with extensive experience in cataract and glaucoma surgery. He has trained in the United Kingdom, India, Malta, Israel and Switzerland. Assoc. Prof. Atanassov is Chairman of the Bulgarian Glaucoma Society; a member of the Bulgarian Society of Ophthalmology, the European Glaucoma Society and the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons; and an examiner for the European Board of Ophthalmology. He has taken part in numerous national congresses and seminars in the specialty.
